So I'm not to sure if they count as head accessories, but well your eyes are on your head!
Contact lenses are not only super amazing but they really pull a cosplay togther. Though pricey contacts (if properly taken care of) can last a very long time. I have only one pair (yellow cat eyes) which cost me about $80 for both, shipping and handling included. Contacts (depending on the site) can be purchases by size, or with percriptions. There are oodles of them and they are really fun to wear. When you first wear them besure to carry around eye drops so keep your eyes hydrated. You'll get used to them right away, and then you can wear them when ever!
I've worn mine to school! Ha ha ha it was lots of fun!!

The contacts cover your entire Iris so you can't see the brown in my eyes at all! You can only see the yellow and that black slit! I have a few pictures of it I'll crop them and put them up soon so you guys can see.

I'd probably wear contacts if I knew I wouldn't forget to take them out. :/

Ha ha it's kind of hard for me to forget if I don't put in drops or wear them for too long they irritate my eyes. Nope no funny colors, my vision is normal nothing changes unless of course the contact covers my pupils... lol!

Yeah, your contacts looked great when you were Orochimaru! ^-^d
I've never seen low-priced contacts before...So expensive! DX But they do look really cool. :3 I dunno if I could ever wear them, though. The thought of putting something on my eye...*shudders* I dunno if I could do it! ^^;

Same here, Ace. Besides the fact that I'd forget my head if it weren't screwed on and would therefore obviously forget to take the contacts out (which I think if a bad thing, if I remember correctly), I can't stand anything really close to my eyes. It was torture last year in Stagecraft when we were doing stage/character makeup and they were trying to put eyeliner on me.

Yeah, it is a bad thing to leave them in too long, especially when you fall asleep with them in (or so my friends have told me). ^^; Lol, oh gosh. Same here; that's why I don't wear makeup.

Nice, my friend poked her eye when she was putting in contacts. Unfortunately her fingernails were long at the time... =/

Damn, well it was scarey putting them in at first, my mommy put them in for me XD and I screamed ha ha ha! I don't like things near my eyes and it takes for for ever to put them in (due to lack of cordination). The main reason why it's bad to keep them in for a long time is because they prevent your eyes from 'breathing. You eyes need air to stay nice and moist, and weaking contacts blocks their... breathing... holes (ha ha ha scientificaly speaking XD). So if you do wear them you should wear them for about 2 hours at a time and gradualy work your way up to more time.
Sleeping with them in isn't a great idea, but you can do it. Only for short periods of time though like naps because (I've heard rumors only of this no actual proof) they can roll up into the back of your head with your eyes but not come back. I'm not sure how true that it though, but they can fold and roll... though they won't go in if they do.
Also wearing them for to long can cause damage to your corienas... I think thats what they are. Once in a while wear (unless perscription) is fine though.
And thats your safety lesson on contacts... ha ha ha =3
